My grief has become dithyrambique
an extravagant hymn to your absence
and I now praise what broke me
with the avid devotion of a fool
still leaving roses at the altar
of everything we could never be
because once, beneath an ordinary sky
filled with a myriad of stars
I found you, and you found me
