…fluttering like butterflies

Dreams are circling
fluttering like butterflies
darkness opens up
and I am falling weightless
I hear your footsteps
echoing from far away
I am drifting now
from blossoms to snow and ice
the night surrounds me
the quiet whispers tomblike
and I remember
our seasons come back to me
overwhelm my heart
and I see your sweet face love
briefly reflected
in a pool of salty tears
as I pass on to morning
