There is a moment just before falling
when the body hesitates
a suspended second
where the world holds its breath
and everything feels possible
I have lived inside that moment
in between
the certainty of descent
and the impossible dreams
of flight
it is a dangerous place
this in-between
too high to feel safe
too uncertain to feel free
and yet it is here that I discovered
that falling is not the only outcome
sometimes the body remembers
something the mind has forgotten
sometimes it opens instead of collapses
sometimes it finds a way to meet the air
as something more than resistance
and in that fragile, fleeting instant
between gravity and surrender
I learned to remain
not falling, not flying
but suspended
learning the language of balance
in a world that expects collapse
