No Friction Can Halt

…what a unit commands

Single threads, can snap and fray
but woven close, they keep the cold away
a single voice, soft and low
joined in song, a choir can grow
a single dream, can fall apart
yet stand as one, with a steady heart
single gears, turn alone in the dark
and together they ignite a spark
when purpose is guided by familiar hands
no friction can halt, what a unit commands
a single stone fractures, when struck by a blow
alone in the moment, nowhere to go
bonded in sequence, the fragments align
a fortress of focus, a deliberate design
unspoken whispers, are lost on the wind
erased at the border, where boundaries begin
the gentle rhythm of unity awakes
a chorus builds, until the building shakes
two separate pillars, stand still in the storm
supporting one roof, where the cracks have formed
not leaning to weakness, nor fading away
but holding the structure, day after day
your cadence was rapid, my rhythm was slow
two different currents, with nowhere to go
but look how the pacing, has settled and grown
a beautiful tempo, we now claim as our own
