I am floating in the shallows and the shadows
where your voice echoes back to me
and your absence weighs heavily in my soul
I cannot forget your deep blue eyes
or your ever so gentle touch
in our separation I still feel our connection
so I linger here in this lonely place
where your memory haunts me
still longing for your embrace
for we are two souls, forever drifting
soft echoes upon the breeze
I can still feel you in the quiet corridors of time
until, as always, you fade quietly away
but I know the winds shall keep our secrets
where one day, in another time, another life
you will again, return to me
