I always remember the halcyon days
before winter scatters its’ white bones
the morning sun, rising slowly in the mist
as I watch the last leaves falling
and the last blossoms drifting away
what strange magic the earth performs
before surrendering to the seasons
but I have always lived joyfully
amongst nature’s miracles
where I always find my peace
