…go to night
Our lives
our fleeting momentary lives
too soon we live those years away
ashes back to the sea
too many pages of despair
one by one springs and autumns go
seasons change in the blink of an eye
days go to night and night returns to day
back to the amber we all must fall
the unspeakable burden, no appeal for grace
brief intervals of beauty are clinging to the sky
then the broken shards before the flight
behind the blank façade of the silken night
and the deep chasms of life
there is nothing but silence
fallen petals lie fading, never to be seen again
just as our lives are short and flickering
and then we are gone
so brief is the moment
and there is no undoing it
