You are long lazy summer days
warm scented winds, dusky afternoons
you are buttercups, ripe wheat, sharp bright lemons
muted rays of sunshine, faded golden leaves
you are rising crimson mornings
sweet dripping cherries
heady fragrant burgundy, ruby wine
ripe vermillion kisses, precious as sapphires
azure oceans, turquoise evenings
hyacinth skies halcyon days
indigo soul, you are a jet black starless sky
an empty moonless night
the gleaming inky surface
raven’s wings, pitch dark, heart of glass
the darkest of the colours of you
