Lost in deep waters
where the dark waves beat
yearning to swim in the light
gently crashing against the cliffs
that cannot defend themselves
yet bear their pain in silence
just as I bear my unspoken grief
clouds gather in mourning shrouds
the sky, heavy with tears, darkens
casting long menacing shadows
and draping the world in sorrow
