Dark branches bleeding
their lost leaves tumbling earthbound
soon to be carried away into dawns’ red sky
like fragments of broken dreams
floating silently downwards
or a snow of petals that falls with gentle rain
melting away under the stars
bringing soft songs and brief glimpses of you
