Time has taken you from me
just as the sea takes the sand
and with each slapping wave
echoes of you are becoming
achingly out of reach
and forever out of sight
lost to me over and over again
you are forever hidden
in the depths of my heart
now drifting on an endless sea
and I am forever lost in a dream
where I finally fall into your arms
as we slowly drift away
