A moonless night a million stars
clouds rolling over the water like a shroud
the air is to heavy to breathe
a dark bell is is tolling in desperation
like my frantically beating heart
a heaviness thickens the air
as the pounding of the bell continues
wave after wave after wave
in the space between two heartbeats
stands the door to eternity
surrender is now my only option
time is melting away like ice from winter
and only my shadows is left behind
restless and uneasy endlessly wandering
the meandering trails of waking dreams
