A soft breath upon the glass
that lingers far too long
at the windows of my soul
patiently awaiting the moment
to slip between the veil of twilight
and the inevitable falling night
a mere flicker, then back to black
slipping feline, through the dark
seeking the once familiar paths
the ghosts of us are always near
and your memory still haunts me
