You touched me
like a whisper
lost between ice and fire
a trembling yes
a devastating cost
your eyes
were galaxies unlit
just dark voids
that sang of stars
that never graced the sky
we delicately danced
around the edges
where one step in
was one step gone
we loved in the shadows
and echoes
of broken promises
the dichotomy of desire
your touch, both prayer
and funeral pyre
