…I shall be forever new

Loss is a visceral creature, no rhyme, no reason
no sympathy, no kindness, just unjust adjudication
tick tock, the clock cannot be stopped
life is now in the dark caverns
lost in a labyrinth, losing track of me
low burns the flame of love, my heart cannot concede
longing for the night to pass
I am retreating over and over, into the soft arms of dreaming
let me lie calm, longing for the distant blue
let me dare to feel that lost sweet touch
there is a lovely blossom trail that shines for me
even on a moonless night
there is a patch of sunlight, a rocky beach
jewel covered coves, caressed by constant waves
my dream leads me forward my eyes open to the light
my impatient heart will lead me back
to where my soul will bathe again in you
and once again I shall be forever new
