…is what you imagined

Floating, sailing, azure cool
rain is softly playing in beautiful indifference
smooth, silent white, cold mesmerising green
exsanguinated, empty sun, midnight walks forever beautiful
splashes of returning silver on calm black water
dark blue flowers of ink teeming like sands
between the oleander and amongst the water-lilies
melting away on honeyed summer evenings
sweet magnolias and ancient lilacs, perfumed perfection
worlds and times endlessly entwined
stars shine in the sable deep
rose petals are falling in the blooming
cold coral silence murmuring thoughts
under endless pearlescent skies
silent clouds strangely luminous
now bursting forth from a memory
a love returned from yesterday
words with smooth worked edges
claret and ivory, dawn bleeding into day
everything intertwined
soundless waterfalls, a peaceful enchantment
now the picture is vanishing, there are no colours left
dreams are flowing
and nothing is what you imagined
