I once drank your poison
I thought it was wine
unbeknownst to me
each sip was toxic
allowing the darkness in
you still reach for me
from the tangled
corridors of night
dangerous desires
yawning chasms
where I now fear to tread
the empty shadows of dreams
are falling upon me
rolling me under
into the echoing pools
of your depths
drifting weightless
both time and I
have no substance here
