…you couldn’t know
The smallest thing
is magnified
in ways you couldn’t know
a whispered word
a secret shared
in ways you couldn’t know
a gentle smile
a point of view
in ways you couldn’t know
an answer found
a question asked
in ways you couldn’t know
the slightest touch
you graze my soul
in ways you couldn’t know
you catch my eye
the room is warm
in ways you couldn’t know
you touch your lips
the earth shifts
in ways you couldn’t know
I ache for you
all the time
in ways you couldn’t know
I see your face
in every crowd
in ways you couldn’t know
I’m all alone
when you are gone
in ways you couldn’t know
the darkest day
lights up with you
in ways you couldn’t know
the ground shifts
you move me
in ways you couldn’t know
I hold you close
lest you may fade
in ways you couldn’t know
