Night surrounds me
in a velvet hush
nothing above
nothing below
my dreams torn asunder
in the ever-shifting skies
my heart keeps on falling
now alone in the shadows
I hold you in my dreams
I ache to listen to you breathe
I crave your soft touch
with more longing
than I can ever bear
