…in the shattering silence
Clouds are passing
the night weeping darkness
cascading weightless and soundless
from a sky without stars
where are the bridges?
where are the shores?
where is my love?
where did he go?
here in the darkest place of doubt
I wander aimlessly alone
numb to the pain
still clutching my memories
until the wind sings our song
in the shattering silence
and my heart breaks over and over
like the most fragile of precious glass
still it blows this frigid wind
leaves are falling black into black
as the weight of reality falls
it falls and it falls and it falls
and still it falls on me
