The seasons changed us both
just as the loss of the stars
falling down from the heavens
or the first leaf of autumn
falling down into eternity
your absence fell upon me
although the weeping trees flourish
in both abundance and decay
welcoming new leaves with joy
and the night is still filled
with oceans of sparkling stars
I cannot replace my memories
nor erase your soft words
or gentle caress of your hands
and every lonely leaf
and every empty tree
and every starless night
brings the ghost of you back to me
