…enfolds me

It is long
since we parted
night has fallen
many times
leaves too
have drifted down
like crimson tears
cherry trees
have blossomed
and wept
snowflakes
pirouetted
to the ground
I hear the rain
soft
sighing all around
the wax
from my candle
drips slowly
without a sound
and the darkness
enfolds me
as sorrow
abounds
