The distance
between us
grows further
every day

in the lost
and lightless corners
of my heart
in the aching silence
of my solitude

I hear your whispers
calling
from far away
like warm night winds
circling my soul
they comfort me

yet still
they won’t reveal
the reason
you went away

in my sorrow
I still feel your music
like rain upon my skin

and I drench myself again
in every note
that you ever played
