…are slow to fade
I see the rain melt away
and the dust and the shadows
drifting out of sight
with you comes new life
even the leaves
long withered on the tree
are now crackling anew
you are a rippling mirror
which reflects a clear blue sky
spring and summer
have long since flown
but I’ve heard it told
that the blooms of autumn
are slow to fade away
and I think that our sky
will long be bright
and linger as it moves to grey
