…tending hearts

Our heart songs
and our secret texts
once only written
upon blackened stones

or deeply buried
within our aching souls
now in the light of day
an unexpected reverence

our sacred bardic circle grows
in the vast cathedral forests
of our luminous world of words
welcoming all pilgrims

together tending hearts
now growing in the sunshine
in our gardens rich with soil
we help our wounds to heal
taking pleasure in our toil
