My broken heart seeks a place to alight
both love and loss leave dark stains
all my bridges now burning bright
all my dreams now fallen to dust
in pearlescent waves of moonlight
I am drenched and drowning
surrendering to the silken night
and only my lonely shadow remains
somewhere between darkness and light
