I Look For Your Reflection

…in the mirrors of my eyes

Tonight, the winds sing
most mournfully
and the shimmering veil
of a new moon
will find us half an earth apart

alone I enter the darkness
and whisper to you softly
with the hymns
of my broken heart

here in my solitude
I still look for your reflection
in the mirrors of my eyes

your voice calls to me
in the wandering wind
speak three words
utter them softly
my soul sighs back

time may pass
but you have been here
all along
and there is the breath
of heaven
in the breeze
that brings me back to you
