Locked In The Mirror

…our memories are intertwined

Our memories
are intertwined
in my loneliness
shadows pass me
I don’t feel them

I sit in a lonely place
with only my grief
I am caught in the darkness
locked in the mirror

but time decrees what falls
and the colours of the day move on
soon the wind
will blow through me

and I shall take leave into the blue
to roam the endless skies
like a tempest
in search of the hush of heaven
that was once so lovely

to find the face of hope again
and once more my sweet love
to look into your eyes
