Shadows Creeping Slowly Over the Moon

…yearning to be carried away

Yearning to be carried away
I watch the gathering shadows
fading, my jasmine scented yesterdays
lilies gathered in silence, share my sorrows

I watch the gathering shadows
in the distance, the ocean sighs
lilies gathered in silence, share my sorrows
lost in his despair, the nightingale cries

in the distance, the ocean sighs
the night darkly woven with your perfume
lost in his despair, the nightingale cries
shadows creeping slowly over the moon

the night darkly woven with your perfume
while every minute, yesterday drifts further away
shadows creeping slowly over the moon
my wings carry me away without a sound

while every minute, yesterday drifts further away
fading, my jasmine scented yesterdays
my wings carry me away without a sound
yearning to be carried away
