Once more I am lost

loneliness stretches her wings

and covers the sun

folds them softly over me

memories haunt me

like countless fragrant blossoms

painful and lovely

fragile like glass they shatter

the wounds familiar

I sail on a sea of pain

the waves rise and fall

black and so overwhelming

the dark injuries of love
