I want to look in the mirror
but I fear what I might see
I ache to see my reflection
but the mirror looks back at me

I want to whisper my wishes
but I fear that they will flee
I ache to share my secrets
but my heart won’t set them free

I want to feed my hunger
but I fear it will empty me
I ache to drink from the river
but it flows away silently

I want to be lost in your oceans
but I fear the depths beneath
I ache for the waves of desire
but sorrow calls endlessly

I want to held in your arms
but I fear you are lost to me
I ache for our perfect melody
but only echoes return to me
