In the moment before the fall
I remember all my regrets
the mirror watches from the wall
a reflection has no secrets
Night is beginning to unfold
shadows drift their touch intimate
the mirror stares empty and cold
a reflection has no secrets
Between us a vast empty space
wind paints my pain in dark portraits
in the mirror I see no face
a reflection has no secrets
Aching to leave I don’t know how
now sorrow becomes my blanket
the mirror unreachable now
a reflection has no secrets
