A fragile rose falling apart
in darkening winds
fading with the shadows

A distant bell rings
across blackened skies
ancient hymns drifting

A final goodbye
a silence that binds
candlelight trembles

A weeping moon
my broken heart
birds upon the wing

A hollow reflection
framed by darkness
nowhere to hide

A ghostly touch
this familiar pain
now blooming again

A false hope
whispered promises
your ever winsome ways
