A place without a name embodies our loss
moonlight through curtains
sea called to sky and the whispering trees
where we were like ghosts in the night
A blackened sky embodies our regrets
promises made promises broken
our tempestuous longing and dark desires
slowly tore us apart
A silent goodbye embodies our desolation
winter falls heavily in our hearts
and a cold wind blows in from the night
erasing our footprints from time
A distant bell embodies our sorrow
songs of our hearts now fallen to echoes
silence fills the trembling voids
in the aching absence of us
A weeping wind embodies our melancholy
mournful waves returning and returning
calling to our endless yearning
the soliloquy of our empty nights
