I am a wild rose
Blossoming in futility
You are the errant breeze
Laced with every emotion of desire
Just touch me once
A velvet kiss
And open up the gates of heaven
With your breath
My petals are freed
Offering themselves
To the waiting breeze
Tearing through the vast avian vault
Somewhere they are there
Floating forever
In the wind
In the boundless limits of the sky
From shore to shore
Drifting softly and slowly
They fall down upon you
Gentle caresses laid to rest
With the softness
Of remembered touch
Rippling like waves
That flow through you
Like a gentle river
The four winds
Will take us where they will
But there is always
One heartbeat
And always one eternity
