Across The Years

A crimson butterfly

Alights upon a golden blossom

A petal missing

Already journeying

To somewhere

The caress of spring

I feel a window opening

A world away from here

And an errant breeze

Touches my cheek

Like a kiss

My every step

Is through blossoms

The shredded clouds

Arching over

Moving slow

Are like paintings

In the wind

Dreams are whispered

And my heart

My heart longs to swim

Out into the blue horizon

And across the years

To you
