Poetry Clips – Despair (Cheek To Marble Cheek)

Don’t bring me ghostly lilies

Their pale faces

Open mouthed in grief

I won’t lie cheek to marble cheek

With their cloying

Perfume of death

While they embroider

The landscape of despair

A profusion of satin creams

And verdant greens

I will not be there
