Poetry Clips – Perfume (A Gentle Loss)

Petals fall

Diaphanous

Drifting on the breeze

The cherry stands bereft

Her branches darkly reaching

Beseeching

She weeps fragrant tears

Such a gentle loss

Petals fade into the dirt

Ever transient

Yet their perfume

Still lingers on the wind
