Someone I Used To Be
I have travelled for so long
So many revolutions
Around the sun
Seasoned I may be
But weary, I have become
The nights
Are the hardest to bear
The silence is heavy
And it weighs on me
The hours
The hours they pass so slowly
Like an endless winter
Where darkness, my companion
Brings only misery
My heart, empty for so long
Has fallen to echoes
I am but a reflection
Of someone I used to be
I hear the shadows calling
And I know the night is falling
On me
