Micropoetry – Reach (15)

Micropoetry – Reach (15)

You melt over me

Reach into unseen places

The shadows sigh

And when I ache

And when I search

You are always there to find

    1. Thank you! A lot of my micropoetry is derived from my longer pieces – this one came from the poem hereunder, so you can see the broader context!

      Always There

Each day dawns with light music
      And heavy perfume
      Orange blossom opulence
The air as warm as a kiss
      Still pools reflect turbulent skies
      Warm desires between each heartbeat
      The river flows unseen
      Without holding back
Without warning, it melts over me
      Filling the chambers
      Of a heart long neglected
      So quickly it consumes
      Reaches into the unseen places
And the shadows give a sigh
In the winter of my mind
      And when I ache
      And when I search
You are always there to find
