Beneath The Mirror’s Face

Beneath The Mirror’s Face

In the quiet hours

The day sleeps

And the world sighs

I feel you near

In the piercing dark

Beneath the mirror’s face

A scene forever playing

In the wishing glass

You are a white shadow

Shining and intangible

As formless as the future

My outstretched hand

The vision ripples

A lost mirage

And I am alone

Beyond the cool reflection

Eyes as deep as wells

Heart seeking

Hands on the frame

Unseeing
