You Become the Tide

You Become the Tide

A spark of silence

You fill my blood with fire

With your every touch I blossom

And you visit every petal

Opening the glade in me

Where butterflies take flight

Over and over

And you become the tide

That follows each beat of my heart

Under me you emerge in each sigh

And with the depth of each

I shiver through you

You have risen under my hands

I paint the water-colour of your canvas

And then here, under your bridge lies my river

Like the softness of moonlight you flow to me

Oh how lovely and how completely you fill me

You embrace me like a torrent

And I submerge in you

At the same time

As you sink sweetly in me
