Sweet Magnolias

Sweet magnolias

Pink and white

Glorious velvet

Glowing

In the soft dawn light

Hanging heavy with dew

Dripping tears

One after the other

Fragrant blossoms

Strewn across the dirt

A sorrowful sight

Poignant

And lingering

For hours in my thoughts
