Across The Breadth
Let us be
Like two falling stars
In a forbidding sky
This is no place
To lose our wings
But a time to drift
Ever higher on the winds
The earth has disappeared
Beneath our feet
And the endless view
Is scaling out
In the distance
The moon hangs aloft
Yet only her light falls
Softly
The winds they tear at us
And just as for the leaves
Under receding skies of autumn
The only protection from falling
Is transient
On waves of desire
Once again we find ourselves
With the ghost of memories
Upon our lips
Fire and ice
Quietly falling together
Across the breadth
