Thank you for sharing your poem with me! They are very linked – I think everyone knows that my micropoetry is derived from my longer poems (most of the time) – this one came from one of my 2013 poemswhich you may also like….
Still Haunting
I have been lost
So many times
I disappear in you
I have loved you
In numberless ways
Each one of which
Seems the sweetest song
Yet somehow
Each more lovely
Than the last
Gazing into each other eyes
I forget myself
It has always been you
The same song
Still haunting
Even in the lull
There is no other choice to make
Hunger has revealed itself
I can wait longer
And I am coming home
To where
Under your blue skies
I will find myself
Once more
