Cover the Moon

Cover the Moon

Sweet is the breath

Of the evening air

Upon sleeping roses

And fallen petals

As soft as the clouds

That cover the moon

Through the windows

Creeps the sunlight

Across a blushing sky

And dew soaked earth

As stealthy as the clouds

That cover the moon

We awaken to sunbeams

Floating aloft

Darkly dazzling

With an excess of light

And still the clouds

Cover the moon
