Echoes
I hear it rising between us
Like a sea with its whispers
It rushes and darkens the sand
With the sad empty echoing
Of something lost
The silent shiver of the trees
Speaks in soft voices to the night
Hearts that were undisturbed
Are falling into the mystery
We lived a silent love
But now draped in starlit shrouds
Like a veil upon the moon
I watch it fade in the night
Feel it fall away again
In silence displaced
It yet remains

I found your words beautiful and was left feeling somewhat sadly tragic. Just wonderful Annie.
