Choka – Loneliness (There Are No Flowers)

Choka – Loneliness (There Are No Flowers)

The clouds come and go

Casting shadows in their wake

There are no flowers

Forever faded from light

Their perfume lingers

And their absence gnaws at me

Harkens unto dreams

That once blossomed in darkness

Like scarlet flowers

Taken by the ruthless wind

Petal by petal

I am filled with emptiness

Like this barren field

I sense your unquiet soul

And my heart trembles

The leaves ripple above me

Yet the night is still

Your restless heart touches mine

Fleeing into the distance
