Against the Ebb
There is no greater beauty to behold
In heaven, nor on earth
Than I see, as I gaze
As I fall, into the depths
Of your eyes
Shades of blue
That colour my soul
And rouse me from my sleep
Have me running against the ebb
And rolling back to sea
And oh, how your eyes
Have my heart soaring
Setting sail
Across the evening sky
Where the moon
Once shone so bold
Yet left all below
Awash, in silvered cold
Now put to shame
Hides in the shadows
The night my empty garden
Already full
With thee
