Tanka – Loneliness (5)

Tanka – Loneliness (5)

Lying forgotten

Like ancient graves abandoned

Or last night’s ashes

Our love is cold and lifeless

Sorrow is all that remains

  1. Wow, these words cut a deep, near the edge of foreverness, dissolving past tears , but I hope one day the light will touch your woes, and laughter will replace these tears. This Tanka of yours was excellence, and made me wince with pain, best wishes and blessings, Charles.

    1. Thank you Charles I must have indeed written this one well then. This was not a personal experience, but one I thought hard about how I could express that level of desolation, but thank you so much for caring about me!
